Churchtown Antiques circa 1915
Smith M. Shirk dealers in General Merchandise
Churchtown Antiques is located in an old stone farm house in Churchtown, Pennsylvania. Built in 1767 as a private residence and general store, it was a regular stop for travelers on what was then known as the "Kings Highway". Stretching from Philadelphia to Lancaster, the Kings Highway was well traveled and this made our place a frequent stop. 2083 Main Street has gone through some changes over the last 243 years. It has been a home for six different families, and for numerous businesses. There have been quite a few general stores, a tax collectors office, post office, wharehouse, two different boarding houses, and we are the second antique shop. For those of you who know the building, you know it as the former home of Strauz's Antiques, a very nice, high end antique shop owned and operated by John and Louise Strauz. We have tried to follow by their example.

Looking east, Churchtown Antiques is the second house on the left. The third floor has yet to have been added.
